Description

As a Component Engineer Platform Lead, you will work on Display/Cluster/Vision Components Projects. You will solve complex and technical problems and develop critical components for Next Gen Products. You will manage the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach enterprise team members, and deepen your professional network.

 

Job Description:

  •  The candidate will be responsible for:
  •   Communicate results to global customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units    
  • Lead global teams in the design of new products, processes, and components   
  • Complete projects on time and cost    
  • Acknowledge and raise customers’ and management’s awareness of trade-offs between time, resources and quality.    
  • Develop display and instrument clusters programs to support machine and engine programs.    
  • Define the product requirements (HRS).   
  • Collaborate with the supplier to design and validate products.    
  • Work closely with test resources to validate that the product meets regulatory requirements.    
  • Collaborate with the system group to integrate the component on to the end product.
  • Keep track of development issues via NPI L1/L2 process & resolution (time, cost & quality)    
  • Design, Detail, and Release engineering changes associated with CPI, Warranty Reduction, and Manufacturing Process improvements using DCC, and EDS.    
  • Lead cost reduction projects in design control.     

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent in a related engineering field
  • Electrical/Electronic component development experience
  • 5+ years experience in progressive engineering assignments to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts
  • Strong analytical skills   
  • Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High level of proficiency in Pro/E or other modeling or simulation tools
  • Requires strong leadership ability and good communications skills

  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts

  • Experience with development tools such as oscilloscopes and network analyzers

  • Experience with NPI, EC1, EC42, EDS, CPI tools.

  • Experience with project management tools
