The Product Support & Logistics team is currently looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Asia Pacific Order and Fulfillment Manager. As the Asia Pacific Order Fulfillment Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination for the Customer Services and Supply Management functions across the Asia Pacific region including Shanghai, Melbourne, Singapore and Queensland.
Customer Services is a critical listening post for learning about customer needs. Parts availability is
considered the most important product support factor impacting prime product and parts sales. If a dealer or distribution facility has questions about a part order or parts supply (arrival date, shipping route,method of transportation, the right parts to support a machine repair), Customer Services support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide answers. As the primary contact within Cat parts for Cat dealers, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with dealer product support management and ensuring issues are resolved by coordinating necessary resources within Cat Parts.
Supplier Management is critical to ensuring the Cat Parts supply chain runs as efficiently as possible,eliminating costs and disruptions within the Cat network and within the dealer – customer interaction. As manager of supplier relationship / performance for Cat Parts, you will be responsible for partnering with Global Purchasing, Transportation, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, and Suppliers to achieve key supplier performance metrics impacting the Cat parts supply chain, the supplier scorecard ratings, and ultimately impacting dealers and customers.
With teams distributed across multiple countries, you are accountable for global process effectiveness and efficiency leveraging teams across the globe to ensure Cat Parts get to the right place at the right time and with an acceptable cost structure to achieve results. Functioning as a liaison between Global Aftermarket Marketing & Brand Division, Marketing
Profit Centers, Product Business Units, and dealers on parts availability issues
Representing the company with regards to Parts Availability updates with dealers or internal parties
Processing large international and Cat Export Services parts orders that require special handling
Supporting system transformation initiatives across the Cat Parts network
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time
15% - 30% international and regional travel expected
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
· Previous dealer operations, material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory management, manufacturing operations and/or transportation systems experience
· 10+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience
· Previous experience leading a large and diverse team
