The Marketing Support Coordinator will develop, coordinate and manage logistics for customer/dealer visits and special events for both external and internal customer requests at the Tinaja Hills Demonstration and Learning Center (THDLC). You will manage multiple, diverse, ongoing projects within predetermined timelines and budget guidelines and provide on-site execution support. You will work directly with management and/or salaried employees of multiple business units to accommodate meeting requests and work with various groups (internal, external, food service, accounting, Equipment Training Solutions, dealers, customers, suppliers and Visitors Services) to ensure all aspects of scheduling are organized and delivered.
Manage the day to day schedule for the THDLC for events, programs and meetings. Communications must be clear, concise and appropriate for all levels of lower, middle and upper management. This position supports the Marketing efforts of the Demonstration and Learning Center and works with the other Caterpillar business units.
This position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems and resolve them by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past. The incumbent will work with the cleaning and kitchen staff, providing clear communication regarding food/beverage requests. The position will provide detailed information to support staff regarding classroom set up and/or requirements to accommodate requests. The position is responsible for welcoming guests, providing directions, checking with classroom sessions to identify and provide support as needed, maintaining program files and communicating important program and facility details with THDLC staff on a timely basis.

-Must have Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing an event schedule for a facility or group.
-1+ years experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

-External experience with event planning and management is preferred.
-Familiarity with audio/visual systems and experience with Ungerboeck scheduling system would be a plus.
-Good organizational skills, good communication skills (written and verbal), personal computer skills
-Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with internal and external DLC clients.
