The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a Procurement Manager in our Mossville, IL facility.  As an Procurement Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership to a team of purchasing professionals to deliver local service excellence to customers.  You will engage in the deliverance year of over year Quality, Cost, Logistics, Delivery, and Management performance improvement.

 
 

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 
  • Manage a high performance team of procurement professionals who will develop and ensure the Global supply base can meet Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development & Management requirements.
  • Work with the global supply base to identify performance gaps and drive improvement plans driving SQEP (Supplier Quality Excellence Process) qualification
  • Act as a recognized as the leader of the execution of the global category strategy driving supplier performance excellence in SQEP
  • Through a strong knowledge of the product, NPI and Category Strategies the incumbent will sponsor, support and participate in both the category and divisional initiatives.
  • Develop, mentor and train personnel capable of delivering the category supplier strategy
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards within the diverse global organization and recognize employee excellence
  • Supporting the collaboration between category and site management supply strategies that will create a competitive advantage for our customers, while delivering local service excellence
  • Sponsoring, supporting, and participating in 6 Sigma projects
  • Driving supply chain collaboration for developing new products 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering, or Finance-related field from an accredited university
  • 6+ years of previous job related experience
  • Ability to acquire an understanding of governmental, environmental, political, and geographic factors that influence a supply base
  • Well-developed communication, business acuman and negotiation skills
 
 

Top candidates will also have:

 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management
  • Affiliation with Institute for Supply Management and American Production and Inventory Control Society or comparable professional purchasing organization
  • Previous 6 Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt experience
  • Knowledge of Quality, Cost Modeling, and NPI tools
  • Knowledge of lean principles and lean manufacturing
