The Product Supply and Logistics Division currently has an opening for a Visitor Center Representative located in our Morton, IL facility.  In this role you will provide day-to-day support and coordination of (1) Morton facility tours with associated oversight for the Morton Visitor Center and (2) Cat Parts global customer service communications, process execution, and improvement activities.  Both functions play important supporting roles in emphasizing and measuring the value associated with Cat Service Parts Distribution capabilities and ensuring a positive dealer/customer/visitor experience. 

 
Job duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Morton Tour Coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate tours in Morton Visitor Center. Work with Corporate Tours to confirm availability of requested tour times, complete tour request form, make lunch reservations/orders lunch as necessary, determine and schedule tour guides (part time staff), procurement/management of visitor souvenirs (low $ value), and arrange for Morton leadership/staff involvement with welcoming, lunch attendance and/or speaking to tour groups
  • Supervise team of part-time tour guides. Will work closely with team for scheduling, payroll, and performance issues
  • Tour content, path and adjustments. Also includes greeting tour participants and reviewing Morton and Parts Network brief, pre-tour highlights, safety reminders and tour restrictions. Also needs to be licensed for tour cart operation and versed/able to give tours on an as-needed basis
  • Tour Guide Training/support and recommendations for staffing needs
  • Monthly reports on visitors, tours, etc.
  • Process Improvement
  • Coordination of tour cart maintenance (with Maintenance) and visitor center signage is current

Global Customer Service Communication, Process Execution and Improvement Activities
  • Updating global dealer survey content and related execution steps at direction of the Dealer Survey process oversight council
  • Organize and manage the medium used to maintain the survey, survey responses and associated facility action plans and make such information available as appropriate (does not include the development of respective action plans)
  • Support the overall Dealer Survey process and process execution owners in assuring relevant communication details are available for assessment/use
  • Maintain content and coordinate updates on Customer Services portion of dealer.cat.com website
  • Organize and manage Constrained Parts Newsletter and other relevant communications and updates for dealers and process partners
  • Lead and support projects aimed at improving customer service provided to dealers and customers

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4 year Bachelor's degree or 4 years of Logistics experience
  • Previous customer service, marketing, or tour experience
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Top Candidates Will Also Have: 
  • Customer focus, excellent customer focused communication skills – written and oral and able to speak comfortably before small and large (50+) size groups
  • A general understanding of the Caterpillar organization, familiarity with Company products, and experience working with customers and dealers
  • Prior experience using Command Center HD, Adobe Experience Management, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Chatter
  • Excellent human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the company
  • The incumbent must be a self-starter with leadership skills, strong business knowledge, and excellent communication skills
  • Prior supervisory experience
