JOB PURPOSE: To assist in the development of our capabilities on select marketing platform(s). This includes defining the business processes, applications, data integrations, and technology needed in response to the changing business needs. This position will focus in the technical and development of building the capabilities in the platform. In addition, the candidate will build the documentation and update governance and business processes in this role.

 

JOB RELATED STATISTICS:

• Lead development for Platform Project/Programs (<$250,000)

 

JOB DUTIES: This position would assist in the development of the capabilities for one of Marketing & Digital’s marketing platforms. This person would have a strong technical knowledge and working acumen in their platform sub-domain. The Digital Platform Specialist primary role would be in the detail development of platform capabilities, process development, and playbook creation.

 

Key areas of accountability include participating in detailed development meetings to integrate and build Marketing & Digital’s marketing capabilities; provide input and build the business processes and platform playbook; act as a researcher and evaluator of new marketing capabilities, information or integration enhancements. Responsibilities include one or more of the following:

 

1. Help with the research in the platform assessment to determine the best solution for the enterprise.

2. Execution of detailed project plan.

3. Develop detailed workplans for development activities.

4. Develop platform playbook and communication of playbook to the enterprise

5. Participates in the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the platform

 

Typical internal customers include employees within multiple business processes or functions including multiple Business Units, DSDs, Industry Groups, and Divisions. In addition this person may have direct relationships with GIS, IT Managers, and in some cases Directors. External contacts include various agencies, consulting companies who offer services related to the platform.

 

The position is challenged to execute the strategic roadmap and assist the Senior Specialist 1 and 2 in meeting the enterprises business requirements. Strong platform knowledge and strong technical skills will be needed to be successful in this role. The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action with oversight as appropriate, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. Communications will be needed to develop business needs is critical to ensure solutions can be created to meet strategic business capability needs.

 


Qualifications

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

This position will require an accredited, four-year Marketing, Business, or Technology degree, a closely related technical degree, or equivalent experience. It is strongly desired that the incumbent has related experience of least 2-3 years and recognition as a sub-domain expert is necessary but it is not necessary. Strong technical knowledge of respective platform. Certifications in the platform is desirable for example Eloqua Certification. Experience in developing business processes, working in matrix organization, leading large projects is highly beneficial. Good technical, communication and influential skills are required.


Deliver rapid design and functional success of product on time through defined Digital projects. Origination experience is a plus. Strong business acumen and communication skills are desired. Knowledge of Salesforce is also desired. 


Should be familiar with project management methodologies as they will participate in multiple projects representing expertise for digital technical offerings 


Strong technical, communication and influential skills are needed.

Ability to collaborate and help drive a cross functional team  


Capable of eliciting business analysis information and creates appropriate requirement artifacts. Capable of drafting concise statements of functionality or quality needed to deliver value.


Performs creative thinking. Completes decision analysis by formally assessing a problem and possible decisions. Has ability to make sound decisions. Performs multiple analyses including root-cause analysis, process analysis, document analysis, business rules and risk analysis.
