are the data driven, business professionals using quantitative methods such as business simulations, data mining, and
advanced statistical techniques to solve problems for internal business partners and external Caterpillar customers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Tools and techniques, enabling you to provide data based insights that drive business decisions. Typical problems include
identifying customers that have similar tendencies and creating marketing recommendations that will move them through
the sales funnel, identifying sales, rental, and service opportunities for Caterpillar dealers, determining the principal drivers
of health care costs; recommending the optimal supplier for a part; identifying which parts are most likely to yield the
greatest cost savings; and identifying sales, rental, and service opportunities for Caterpillar dealers.
Professionals within the program must be willing to travel and relocate domestically.

Qualifications - External

• Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: MBA, MS or
PhD degree in Actuarial Science, Analytics, Applied Statistics, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Civil
Engineering, Computational Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Industrial
Organizational Psychology, Informatics, Information Systems Management, Marketing Analytics, Mathematics, MBA with
Technical Undergrad, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Predictive Analytics, Quantitative & Computational
Finance, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or equivalent.
• GPA requirements 30.
• Expected Graduation Date between Month Year – Month Year.
• Demonstrated knowledge or aptitude of statistical, data mining or visualization tools.
• Experience with SAS, R, SPSS, Minitab, Tableau, or similar tool.
• Must be willing to relocate and travel accordingly.
