Job Description:

In this role, you will support several Caterpillar Divisions within the Services, Distribution & Digital segment, including: Global Aftermarket Solutions (GASD); Cat Digital; Americas Distribution, Services & Marketing (ADSM); Europe Africa Middle East Eurasia (EAME); and Asia Pacific Distribution (APD). 

There are two main areas of responsibilities -

  1. Enable financial and operational integrity through internal control development and assessment e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

  2. Provide ongoing support for Caterpillar's Enterprise Ethics & Compliance Program.

     

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the annual SOx controls scoping process for all divisions supported

  • Planning and executing SOx controls testing/assessments, documenting issue remediation and performing validation

  • Executing activities in support of Small Entity Checklist, Financially Significant Application (FSA), and Lower Tier Certification requirements

  • Executing other compliance risk area self-assessment protocols for key risk areas

  • Developing and delivering SOx tester training

Providing ongoing status reporting to business leadership

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Accounting and or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA etc

  • Relevant understanding and practical experience in accounting  

     

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent)

  • MBA or Masters Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)

  • Accounting experience at a large public accounting firm or Fortune 500 company

  • Higher levels of Building Inclusive Relationships, Customer Focus, Dealing with Uncertainty, and Priority Setting

  • Demonstrate very good communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
