Job Description



Working as a Human Resource (HR) Advisor at Caterpillar will see you assisting in the administration and advice of various HR services and functions within our parts distribution facility located in Tullamarine. Your HR skills and knowledge will be an asset in this role as you interact with a diverse group of management, salaried and hourly employees to assist with all HR related queries and resolve issues; whilst complying with company and legal policies and procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Consult and counsel all levels of management, salaried and hourly employees on HR and IR related issues;

- Provide general HR advice and guidance to both blue & white collar employees;

- Provide coaching and guidance to local leaders on best practices to assist in their leadership development;

- Assist leaders with performance management and disciplinary action;

- Manage end to end recruitment campaigns for all openings within the facility;

- Manage the exit process for all departing employees;

- Manage temporary labour hire and build external relationships with agency providers;

- Lead new employee onboarding and induction programs;

- Maintain employee personnel files and HR information systems with a high level of data accuracy;

- Support learning and development initiatives with advice and direction provided by training lead

- Manage the Employee Insights Survey coordination and analysis

- Collaborate with regional and Corporate HR professionals



To be successful in the position you will possess the following:

- Knowledge of various areas of HR including, Industrial Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Performance management and company policies and procedures

- Tertiary qualification and/or 5+ years of job related experience

- Preferably experience working within a logistics environment or similar discipline

- Exceptional communications skills, time management and attention to detail

- Strong Microsoft office skills

- Ability to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of department

- The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential

- Strong customer focus whilst ensuring our Values in Action are maintained
