The Student Trainee Program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while going to school.

Community College students considered for engineering positions should have a basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing principles, logistics, electronics, CAD and/or PRO-E. All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities vary from job to job, but may include: analysis and testing; project work on research and development; virtual reality and simulation technologies; and creating/revising graphics. Considerations include education or experience in the engineering field. In addition, successful performance requires sound judgment, motivation, effective interaction with others and the ability to handle an array of responsibilities.
These positions are open to Peoria area full-time community college students only.
• Must be 16 years of age by June 3, 2018
• Must have and maintain a 2.8 / 4.0 cumulative GPA
• Must be a full time student attending a community college within driving distance to the Peoria Area
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week while attending school full time
• Demonstrated leadership
• Participation in school clubs and organizations
These are part time temporary openings located in the Peoria, IL area. Relocation is not available.
