As a Technical Representative at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Electric Rope Shovels and Draglines, including participation in pre-sales meetings for topics of field preparedness of machinery; providing technical input to the sales team; aid in the development and testing of machine improvements in both hardware and software; work with manufacturing team to improve pre-assembly and final assembly processes; remotely and direct troubleshooting; Identify and report deficiencies as observed in the field through technical reports; create and review publications for global release for product improvements, service instructions and procedures; evaluate and supervise field assembly and retrofit of Electric Rope Shovels and Draglines; control quality through completion of assembly documentation and machine commissioning; and provide training for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Must be willing to travel extensively both internationally and domestically, possibly in high risk areas – up to 50%. Must also be willing to work in remote locations in high elevation regions.
